The Brew
High-End Product Visualization
BALMUDA is a Japanese consumer electronics brand known for products where industrial design is the selling point. The Brew coffee maker is that kind of object: precise geometry, glossy black plastics, chrome detailing. Every surface is intentional.
The brief was to produce high-precision product renders for internal Sandbox use, covering both clean studio white background shots and artistic lighting setups. The standard was commercial-ready from the start.

Glossy black and chrome are unforgiving materials to render. There is nowhere to hide. Lighting relationships, surface roughness, and reflection behavior have to be exactly right or the result reads as cheap regardless of how accurate the geometry is. Simulating steam and liquid pours within a controlled studio aesthetic added another layer of precision required, since both elements can easily undermine the clean composition they are meant to enhance.
Full PBR texturing with multi-layer roughness control was developed to handle the material complexity. Studio and artistic lighting setups were built separately, each calibrated to the specific demands of the surface. Reflections were managed carefully to enhance form rather than distract from it. Steam and liquid were introduced with restraint, present enough to suggest use without breaking the polish of the composition.
The renders demonstrate what commercial-grade product imagery looks like when technical precision and artistic judgment are treated as the same requirement.
