Alpine Way Residence
High-End Residential Exterior Visualization
Alpine Way is a modern mountain residence in Whistler, British Columbia. The scope included a full set of exterior renders covering the front, sides, and backyard, built to a standard suitable for 4×8 billboard prints and large-format marketing materials. The visuals had to carry the design before the foundation was poured.
The brief included the full landscape concept: a rock garden entrance with large boulders, a natural boulder wall modeled on a riverbed formation, wildflower planting around the perimeter, and a backyard with a sauna and hot tub patio.

The project drew from four documentation sources: SketchUp models, DWG permit drawings, structural engineering files, and PDF construction sets — and they didn't fully agree. Several design elements had evolved after the permit drawings were finalized, requiring constant cross-referencing to catch discrepancies before they reached the model.
The site context also needed to be accurate. The client specifically requested that the mountain background reflect the real Whistler and Blackcomb ranges.
Full reconstruction in 3ds Max, with the workflow structured in clear stages: architectural modeling, landscape development, camera and lighting, materials, and final refinement. The Whistler-Blackcomb backdrop was built to geographic reference. Landscape was interpreted from partial guidance into a composition that reads as intentional. AI-assisted mood exploration was used early to evaluate atmosphere before committing to full production.
